The semester's roundtalk series is named RESET:

RESET - A lecture series on responsibility, resilience and rigour

We need to renavigate, We lost our destination. The route is to be negotiated, is there a common goal? This lecture series is asking about a reset in architecture. How did we come this far? Which disciplines do we need to include to master the present and future? What are we wishing for? We are asking our accomplices in architecture, art and urbanism about their ways to navigate their practice.

Our third Roundtalk this semester will be given by Stephan Trüby.

Stephan Trüby is an architectural theorist and publicist and will speak about "Capitalist Realism - Architecture(-theory) and Real Estate".
He is professor of architecture and cultural theory and director of the Institute for the Foundations of Modern Architecture and Design (IGmA) at the University of Stuttgart.
Previously, he also taught in Karlsruhe, Zurich, Harvard, and Munich and worked at the 2014 Venice Architecture Biennale curated by Rem Koolhaas. His most important books include Exit Architecture. Design Between War and Peace (2008), The World of Madelon Vriesendorp (2008, with Shumon Basar), Germania, Venezia. The German Contributions to the Venice Architecture Biennale since 1991 - An Oral History (2016, with Verena Hartbaum), Absolute Architecture Beginners: Writings 2004-2014 (2017), The History of the Corridor (2018), and Right Spaces. Political Essays and Conversations (2020).

The Roundtalk will be held in German, but questions in English are more than welcomed!
